About SolarMechanicCo
We built SolarMechanicCo around one simple idea: most “unfixable” solar systems aren’t unfixable—they’re just unsupported.
Our story
SolarMechanicCo was built for homeowners who want their solar system treated like a long-term asset, not a disposable gadget. We kept seeing residential systems labeled “unfixable” and left behind when one component failed or when support got messy over time.
Too often, the next recommendation wasn’t a real diagnosis. It was an expensive replacement, even when a targeted repair would have brought the system back. We started SolarMechanicCo to bring back the basics: identify the fault, explain it clearly, and fix what’s actually broken.
We focus on repair-first troubleshooting and the right parts so homeowners can keep producing power without the pressure, mystery pricing, or unnecessary rip and replace.
Why systems get abandoned
Small failures can look big when support disappears: inverter faults, monitoring outages, compatibility confusion, or a part that’s hard to source. Our job is to turn “I guess it’s dead” into “here’s the exact fix.”
Our no-pressure approach
We prioritize diagnosis and repair options first. If replacement is truly the best path, we’ll say so—clearly—and explain why.
Family-owned values
When it’s your name on the truck, you do things differently. We focus on long-term trust, repeat customers, and referrals—built on honest help.
